Wow! This story blew me away。 Faith witnesses a killing by a mafia enforcer, Angelo。 But instead of eliminating her he gives her to his twin brother as a Christmas gift。 His very on sex slave。 Only Leo can’t quite be that ruthless。 And with the family coming for Christmas he is in a bind。 To make matters worse Angelo tells their mother that Leo is engaged。 This story is intense。 Faith has no masochistic tendencies。 But she still falls for Leo。 And Leo can’t change but he can’t let her go either。 Wow! Mafia Captive is a Dark Romance that also includes BDSM。 Faith was in the wrong place at the wrong time changing her life forever。 As we learn more about her she had things happen in her past making it difficult for her to trust Leo。 Leo has needs that dabble on the dark side and he is very much into BDSM and the whole Master/Submissive relationship。 He finds it difficult to subject Faith to his needs without her consent。 However, this book shows how over time a person can overcome their fears, Mafia Captive is a Dark Romance that also includes BDSM。 Faith was in the wrong place at the wrong time changing her life forever。 As we learn more about her she had things happen in her past making it difficult for her to trust Leo。 Leo has needs that dabble on the dark side and he is very much into BDSM and the whole Master/Submissive relationship。 He finds it difficult to subject Faith to his needs without her consent。 However, this book shows how over time a person can overcome their fears, learn to trust and open their heart to love。 。。。more

Top 5 Dark Romance I've read this story multiple times and each time it feels me with joy。 Leo is in my top fav of heros and Faith is one of my fav heroines in Kitty's books。 This is a slow burn Dark romance that I've read so many times and the new epilogue was icing on the cake。 Revisiting Faith and Leo's relationship was everything。 Top 5 Dark Romance I've read this story multiple times and each time it feels me with joy。 Leo is in my top fav of heros and Faith is one of my fav heroines in Kitty's books。 This is a slow burn Dark romance that I've read so many times and the new epilogue was icing on the cake。 Revisiting Faith and Leo's relationship was everything。 。。。more

Merry ChristmasAngelo has a unique Christmas present for his twin brother Leo。 Her name is Faith, and she witnessed Angelo kill someone。 Angelo decided he had 2 choices, killing her or giving her to Leo。Leo has some very dark fantasies, and he has always wanted a girl he can keep, and along comes Faith。There are times when Faith annoyed me。 I think that a lot of her reactions are what people would really feel in her situation, but I think there were times she flinched when she didn't really need Merry ChristmasAngelo has a unique Christmas present for his twin brother Leo。 Her name is Faith, and she witnessed Angelo kill someone。 Angelo decided he had 2 choices, killing her or giving her to Leo。Leo has some very dark fantasies, and he has always wanted a girl he can keep, and along comes Faith。There are times when Faith annoyed me。 I think that a lot of her reactions are what people would really feel in her situation, but I think there were times she flinched when she didn't really need to。 I think that she has a very kind heart, which isn't necessarily a bad thing。I went back and forth on Leo a lot。 We get to be in his head a lot, so we get to understand him a lot, and we can understand where he is coming from。 Good book with a lot of interesting byplay。 。。。more

So this didn't feel like a completely normal Kitty Thomas book。 It is a slower burn then I'm used to from her, but still so worth reading! It was so interesting to see how someone can go from such complete fear to such complete surrender。 And I really loved how everything progressed from the start of the book to the end。 It was so great how this author moved things along。 There was a lot of dark in this book too。 So if you enjoy dark romance I highly recommend this book! I loved the way Leo and Faith's relationship progressed over the course of the story。 It was completely non traditional but somehow it worked for them。 There is lots of drama and conflict in this story, both between the main characters and with others。 The ending was a bit surprising but I enjoyed it。 Overall it's a good read that pulls you in。 I loved the way Leo and Faith's relationship progressed over the course of the story。 It was completely non traditional but somehow it worked for them。 There is lots of drama and conflict in this story, both between the main characters and with others。 The ending was a bit surprising but I enjoyed it。 Overall it's a good read that pulls you in。 。。。more

I just finished the updated version of Mafia Captive by Kitty Thomas。Like always I am encaptured by her work。 For some reason, I can always tilt my brain off its axis with her stories!Kitty Thomas writes dark romance, but unlike anything you ever saw。 When Faith happens to witness a murder committed by a mob man, she is sent to live with the man's twin brother。 Which although he is unlike anything she has ever met before, it blooms attraction, although they couldn't be more opposite。Loving the f I just finished the updated version of Mafia Captive by Kitty Thomas。Like always I am encaptured by her work。 For some reason, I can always tilt my brain off its axis with her stories!Kitty Thomas writes dark romance, but unlike anything you ever saw。 When Faith happens to witness a murder committed by a mob man, she is sent to live with the man's twin brother。 Which although he is unlike anything she has ever met before, it blooms attraction, although they couldn't be more opposite。Loving the fact the author brought in the Italian and Catholic sides, having Leo actually being a full (mainly) acting Catholic was a lot of fun。 Something in stories I dislike is when they bring the faith into it。 I'm Catholic and most times 9 out of 10 its just hard to stomach, but seeing as he struggled so much with his faith and his inner needs, man I could relate, it was beautiful。So beautiful。 I can't wait for the day this one adorns my shelf, glistening with its beauty! Once again an amazing job from this author。 Putting all her hard work and love into a story is something, as it takes a part of your soul with it。 Although I'm sure she put a lot of her heart in this story, this one took a lot of my heart with it as well。 。。。more

Umm? This was an interesting book? I'm pretty sure I'm not mad at this book。 No, I'm just confused。 Lol。 I don't know how to explain it。 This is a romance? It wasn't that Faith came to love who Leo was but came to love the twisted comfort he provided her when she was deprived of human connection? So much so that she endured the pain he got off from when she was suffering? Or was it that she was conditioned to seek him out, believing him to be her protector when he was the orchestrator of her calamities? I mean, Leo said it himself and showed that it didn't matter who was the recipient of the pain he was inflicting。 He could get off to anyone。 It was the idea of owning Faith that did him in just a little more。 But he didn't actually love her, did he? Faith thought she loved him, but really she needs a therapist, right? LOL。 None of Leo's actions in the book ever showed that he loved her, outside of his kinks, as a human being。 I didn't care for Faith or Leo。 I wished Faith would either grow some balls and unalive him or。。。you know。。。unalive her—yeah。 It is a dark romance after all! The one thing I know for sure is character development does not exist in this book。 Leo: 。。。more

On the fenceI'm not sure how to rate it。 I enjoyed the book。 I enjoyed the realism of Faith's journey。 Not being a masochist would definitely make it harder to submit。I just felt like something wasn't quite there。 Or maybe it's just that I was so intune with Faith。。。I didn't feel Leo's connection。I still don't know what it was but I did enough the journey。 I bet they both look forward to next Christmas! 1。5 "Not an Angel" Stars"Mafia Captive" wasn't for me。。。 I've read some dark books, some kinky ones and some twisted for sure, but this one failed me。 Faith is a spine-less heroine and she got on my nerves。 Angelo has a string of f@c# buddies parading。。。 The mafia element is almost no-existent, except for the event Faith witnessed and the "Corleone" look-alike family members。 I really don't know why I even finished reading it。 1。5 "Not an Angel" Stars"Mafia Captive" wasn't for me。。。 I've read some dark books, some kinky ones and some twisted for sure, but this one failed me。 Faith is a spine-less heroine and she got on my nerves。 Angelo has a string of f@c# buddies parading。。。 The mafia element is almost no-existent, except for the event Faith witnessed and the "Corleone" look-alike family members。 I really don't know why I even finished reading it。 。。。more

This was unexpectedly good。 So ignore the complaints if you like a captive plot, this is better and more realistic than most。 The h struggled with her metamorphosis unlike so many wet-pantied h’s out there。 The “situation” that caused this couple to meet was perfectly used as a way to force them into a lifetime together, so that was awesome。My issues:The 3rd person POV made me feel a little too distant from the emotion and action。I feel like some things should have been explored more (like, afte This was unexpectedly good。 So ignore the complaints if you like a captive plot, this is better and more realistic than most。 The h struggled with her metamorphosis unlike so many wet-pantied h’s out there。 The “situation” that caused this couple to meet was perfectly used as a way to force them into a lifetime together, so that was awesome。My issues:The 3rd person POV made me feel a little too distant from the emotion and action。I feel like some things should have been explored more (like, after Xmas, did he fuck the OWs in his dungeon or just get BJs, what made him start bringing the OW in after Xmas since they hadn’t been there before, why didn’t he explain some of that to h, more time of her stalking those sessions, Mei Lin could have added WAY more yummy angst to this couple than she did, I would have liked to know more of his thought process, etc。)The affair with Caprice during Xmas was unforgivable (even if it was a catalyst, he leaves her Xmas morning during the gift giving to go fuck Caprice for the first time)…the other OW were plot points。 I think this affair was glossed over and I needed more details and more angst from h surrounding it。The ending was also too abrupt。 I needed more of them as a couple in the more loving space they created at the end。 I needed to see a more loving edge in their daily lives as their BDSM M/s relationship flourished。3。5 not quite 4 stars 。。。more

This is one book I thought to give a try and sorely regret。 I keep asking myself why human beings need to be so morally decadent and self-loathing as to subscribe to BDSM。 The heroine turned into a fumbling, mindless bot at the end, incapable of any self-worth or dignity。 If this is what the concept of BDSM is all about, then that's pretty shitty and unfortunate。 Why would anyone willingly opt for degradation in lieu of empowerment and self-affirmation??There was no real depth to their relations This is one book I thought to give a try and sorely regret。 I keep asking myself why human beings need to be so morally decadent and self-loathing as to subscribe to BDSM。 The heroine turned into a fumbling, mindless bot at the end, incapable of any self-worth or dignity。 If this is what the concept of BDSM is all about, then that's pretty shitty and unfortunate。 Why would anyone willingly opt for degradation in lieu of empowerment and self-affirmation??There was no real depth to their relationship aside the obvious Stockholm syndrome, which was more enhanced because Faith had very little self-worth to start with。 She ended being a slave in the true sense of the word which was so sad。 The world frowns on the concept of slavery, as they should, but want to romanticise it when it suits their baser instincts。 This hypocrisy is mind-numbing。 As someone who comes from the ethnic divide where slavery was a large part of history, I cannot but frown on this aberration on humanity regardless of how it is disguised。Leo is a fraud。 He claims he wants to fight his dark side but won't even consider the possibility of any other way besides his。 Why must Faith give in to his desires, why couldn't he adjust to her own wants and needs?? He never even tries to understand her as a person and what could have shaped her fears and subdued personality? The only thing going for him is that he has a bit more of a conscience than his brother or uncles。。。which really doesn't add up to anything。 Moreover, the whole book was about Leo wanting to make Faith enjoy pain instead of building a relationship with her and it's like the author was confused as to whether she was writing a love story or a dark one, when she brought in the "I love you" at the end which was frankly, gag-worthy。 Pick a hustle, Kitty!Someone said this is a softer side to Kitty Thomas' style of writing。 If this is what anyone terms "soft" then any writing of hers will definitely be a hard miss for me! 。。。more
